As a career mentor you get the chance to share your knowledge and experience with a student. The mentor procedure last for one semester and consists typically of three meetings between you (mentor) and the student (mentee). The meetings are to put focus on your mentee’s competence assessment, career opportunities and –wishes. The meetings should first and foremost create a free forum where you can exchange thoughts and considerations regarding to your mentee’s future career.
Your role is not to give a definitive answer, but to assist your mentee to reach to a clarification. On your mentee’s initiative, the meetings between you and your mentee will be settled and held at your work place.
