Purpose: A cybersecurity consultant contributes and participates in cybersecurity consultation engagements with customers; conducting first-grade assessments and producing technical analysis, and recommendations’ research. They have in-depth technical knowledge in one or more cybersecurity domains. Also, they keep abreast of the latest information security threats and vulnerabilities to enhance their testing techniques and analysis skills.   

Key Technical Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to cybersecurity consultation services including security assessments, penetration tests, and risk mitigation/remediation planning in one or more domains of cybersecurity.
  • Research and collaborate in finding efficient ways to protect the infrastructure, software, or information systems against any potential attacks.
  • Conduct security testing, threat analysis, and risk assessments of technological vulnerabilities.
  • Research on new vulnerabilities threats and countermeasures.
  • Investigate and provide suggestions for security solutions using business-standard analysis criteria.
  • Follow security services methodologies that relate to cyber security services provided.

Key Non-technical Responsibilities:

  • Write documentation, analysis, and recommendation sections of reports.
  • Contribute to the review of internal processes and activities and assist in identifying potential opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct awareness and explanatory presentations to the customers.
  • Mentor and guide juniors through customer engagements.
